Pete the Cat: Rocking in My School Shoes
Pete the Cat goes to school in his really awesome school shoes. He sings about all the different activities he does during the school day in his shoes.
I would use this book with younger grades and have them draw or color a page with 'school shoes' on it and allow them to design their dream school shoes. For younger grades, especially with children who haven't been to school, I would take them around the school on a tour, especially highlighting the places in our school that Pete the Cat went to in his school. I would make sure to add any other important locations in our school that were not in the book, however.
